Do any of you use Open Source software?
If so, who does the training for Open Source - is it outsourced or do you do the training.
If you do the training, do you make up your own manuals or are there training manuals already out there trainers can use?

Laurette Burdyl, a NAGTAD member from SC, At Large member of the NAGTAD Executive Committee and Host of the 2008 NAGTAD Conference in Columbia, SC requests the following:
Is anyone involved with or aware of a state or local government training organization that through earning their own revenue is totally self-sufficient and does not rely on any appropriated funds? If so, I would appreciate the name of a contact for that organization so that I may follow up with them. Thank you!

The North Carolina Office of State Personnel/HRD is in the initial planning stage of developing an executive development program for agency heads and their deputies and assistants. If your state or organization has an executive development program, I would appreciate any information you can share on program design, evaluation, lessons learned, etc.
